I'm not sure I own a vase, in fact I'm pretty sure I don't. I prefer to use containers that continue to invoke the feeling of farm life throughout our home.
This morning I took a stroll outside around the house and gathered a bouquet of summer time happiness for the living room.
I love mixing berries and crab apples in with my flowers for extra texture and color.
My hydrangeas are my favorite! They were my wedding flower, so I'm quite partial to them.
Once I had gathered a small handful of flowers I filled a quart Mason jar with water, stuck the flowers in the jar, and placed the jar inside one of our grain scoops. (Sorry piggies, I'll bring it back, I promise.)
Simple, oh so simple!
The colors seem to pop against the chocolate brown walls. I coupled it with a frame made out of barn wood from our barn and antlers.
"Oh taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him."
I hope that you're having a great summer filled with happiness and sunshine!
